Description
The Cottage is a public house that has been converted into a house, likely built in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of cob and brick, which has since been rendered, and features a slate roof. The original layout consists of two units. The building stands two storeys high and has a two-window range of late 19th-century casement windows. The central door has been changed to a window. There are tall brick stacks located at the ridge and at one end. The left gable has been partially rebuilt in brick. At the rear, there is a similar appearance with a late 18th-century brick extension that projects to the left, along with a 20th-century door and porch. The interior has not been inspected. The Cottage is included in the register as an example of cob construction.
