Description
Red Lion Cottage is a public house that has been converted into a house. It dates from the mid 18th century and the 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and has a slate roof, featuring a first-floor band and chamfered brick sills. It has two storeys and three bays, with a single ridge and single gable stacks. The structure is a single range with 19th-century and late 20th-century rear additions. The windows are mainly 20th-century casements, and most ground floor openings have segmental heads. The front of the cottage has, on the left, a small casement flanked by two larger casements, and to the right, there is a door and another casement. Above, there are three casements. The rear includes a single 18th-century leaded and barred casement. This building is included for its group value only.
