Description
The stables at No. 4 (The Elms) were built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick and feature a pantile roof with plain eaves and a single rear wall stack. The building is comprised of one and two storeys and has eight unequal bays. The windows include Yorkshire sashes and casements. On the left side, there is a single-storey lean-to. The central two-storey stable has three elliptical-headed openings, with a central door flanked on the right by a sash window. The south gable features a 20th-century casement. To the right, there is a single-storey range with five openings, all having elliptical heads, including a casement and a door on the left and another casement on the right. The south gable also has a pair of garage doors. This building is included for its group value only.
