Description
This building is a barn and stables located approximately 30 meters northeast of Woolcombe Adam's Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone and uncoursed ironstone rubble, topped with a corrugated iron roof, and has an L-plan layout. The barn consists of four bays and features a central cart entrance with a wooden lintel and double plank doors, along with a coped gable end. The stables project forward from the left side and are one storey with a loft, also comprising four bays. There are doorways with wooden lintels and plank stable doors in three bays, and an additional doorway with a plain plank door and wooden lintel to the right. Slit windows are positioned between the doorways, and there are three openings to the loft, each with plank doors and wooden lintels. The stables also have a coped gable end and a blank stone plaque with a moulded hood on the side. Inside, the barn roof retains some original timbers.
