Description

This house, located at 5 Guilsborough Road, is likely from the mid-17th century but has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features squared coursed lias stone, a timber frame, and a corrugated metal roof, with an L-shaped plan. The front elevation facing the road has two windows, which are 19th and 20th century casements, and a projecting cross wing to the left that has a late 18th-century chequered brick gable. There is a 20th-century door positioned to the right of center. The house has brick stacks at the ridge and end. The right elevation displays a close-studded timber frame on the first floor with cob infill, while the rear gable, also likely timber framed, has been rendered.
