Description

This is a mid-18th century house, now used as commercial premises and located to the left of Hancocks Stores. The building is constructed of chequered brickwork with a plinth and has a corrugated metal roof. Originally designed with a 2-unit plan, it is two storeys high with an attic, and features a 3-window range of casement windows incorporating wooden transoms and some leaded lights. The ground floor has two 20th-century doors set within altered openings featuring gauged-brick arches. A casement window to the left also has a gauged-brick arch. The building has ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, and incorporates a brick stack at one end. The interior has not been inspected.
