Description
No. 30, known as Paul Hopwell Antiques, is a house that now functions as both a residence and a shop. It likely dates from the late 17th century and is constructed of lias and cob, which has been rendered, topped with a corrugated metal roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and consists of two storeys with an attic. The first floor features a three-window range of casements. The central entrance is a 20th-century glazed door with a moulded wood surround, flanked by a late 19th-century shop front on the left and a 20th-century casement on the right. There are brick stacks located at the ridge and at the end of the building. The left gable includes an attic casement with diamond leaded panes. Inside, the property has chamfered ceiling beams and remnants of open fireplaces, while the first floor retains its original roof structure.
