Description

These are four houses located on the south side of Guilsborough Road, West Haddon. They were likely built in the mid-18th century and altered in the 19th century. The houses are constructed of cob and brick, with corrugated metal and 20th-century tile roofs. Numbers 22, 24, and 26 were originally built with a single-unit plan, while number 28 has a two-unit plan. The houses present a six-window front, featuring casement windows. Numbers 26 and 28 have tripartite sash windows. All houses have 19th and 20th century doors placed between windows. Brick stacks are visible at the ridge and end of the building. A rear extension to number 28 contains a datestone and initialled bricks, both dated 1822. The interior of number 28 includes chamfered ceiling beams with run-out stops and a timber-framed first-floor partition.
