Description

This is an early 18th-century house located on The Green in Hinton-in-the-Hedges. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a slate roof and brick stacks. The main part of the house is two storeys high and three bays wide. A doorway, positioned to the left of the centre, has a wooden lintel and a 20th-century door. There are three-light casement windows on each side of the entrance, featuring original wooden lintels and concrete sills. The first floor has similar windows. To the left is a lower, two-storey extension constructed of uncoursed rubble with a slate roof. A short wing at the rear, to the right, has a window with a flat stone arch leading to a cellar. A date stone, inscribed "WR/17", is positioned above the rear entrance.
