Description
The Beeches is an early 18th-century house located on the north side of The Green in Staverton. It is constructed of coursed ironstone and limestone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The house follows a lobby-entry plan and is arranged over two storeys and an attic, with four bays. The entrance is located in the second bay from the left, featuring a six-panel door under a wooden lintel, itself sheltered by a flat wooden hood supported on ornamental iron brackets. A three-light casement window with a wood lintel is positioned to the left of the entrance, and two similar windows are on the right. On the first floor, three three-light casement windows with wood lintels are present in the two right bays, while two similar two-light windows occupy the left side. The gable ends are coped and feature kneelers. The interior was not inspected.
