Description
The Old House is a late 17th-century house, with a datestone in the right gable that reads "P(?)A/1694". It was remodelled in the early 19th century, with another datestone in the right gable of the rear block that appears to read "180(2?)". The building is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features an old tile roof with flanking brick stacks. It has a double pile plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and consists of three bays.
The central doorway is framed by a moulded wood architrave and features a six-panel part-glazed door with an overlight. To the right of the doorway is a 20th-century round window set in a moulded stone surround. The left and right bays contain three-light windows with wood lintels and 20th-century wood casements, while the outer bays on the first floor have similar windows. The centre of the first floor has a two-light casement window with a wood lintel. The house has a nogged brick cornice and gable ends that are loped with kneelers. The rear of the house, which is faced in brick and rendered from the early 19th century, features an ornamental cast-iron verandah from the same period. The interior has not been inspected.
