Description
Home Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays. It features windows with original wood lintels and 20th-century casements on both floors. To the left, there is an extension, which was originally an outhouse and is now part of the dwelling. This extension has a 20th-century doorway in the right bay and a timber porch with a thatched roof. On the left side, there is a single-light casement window with a wood lintel and a similar two-light window. Additionally, there is a large semi-circular bread oven with a thatched roof on the left side. Inside, the cottage showcases raised cruck construction and original stud partitions.
