Description
Tudor Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with an enlargement in the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring wooden lintels and some marlstone-ashlar dressings. The roof is made of Stonesfield slate and concrete plain tiles, with stone and brick gable stacks. The building has a two-unit plan that has been extended to three units and stands two storeys plus an attic.
The front of the cottage has four windows, with the two earlier bays on the right being higher. These bays contain stone-mullioned windows with two and three lights at the ground floor, and above them are two three-light casements. To the extreme right, there is a small stair window. The roof features one gabled roof dormer. The lower tiled section on the left includes the entrance, a three-light casement window to the left, a small two-light window to the right, and two two-light casements at the first floor. All windows are fitted with leaded glazing. The interior has not been inspected.
