Description

This is a 17th-century house located on the east side of Kiddington Road, in Middle Barton. The front is rendered over limestone rubble, and it has a gabled thatched roof with a brick stack at the right end. The building originally had a two-unit plan. It is two storeys high with a two-window front. The house features timber lintels above a central 19th-century plank door and 20th-century casement windows. A late 19th-century stable with a plank loft and stable doors is attached to the right. A 20th-century one-storey extension is to the left. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest. It was previously listed with a different location (SP 4359 2500) and was occupied by Miss Blackwell.
