Description
No. 19 on Main Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a three-window range with late 19th-century casements in the original openings, which are now covered with render and topped by shallow gauged-brick arches. There is a central 19th-century porch that leads to a six-panelled door, and brick stacks are located at both ends of the house. The right gable displays a datestone, which is now illegible, and features a moulded cornice with ball finial decoration above. Although the interior has not been inspected, it has been noted that the room to the left of the entrance contains a ceiling beam and an open fireplace.
