Description
14 and 15 Main Street are three houses that have been combined into two, dating from the mid-18th century. There is a datestone from 1697 that has likely been reset. The buildings are made of rendered brick and topped with slate roofs. Each house has a two-unit plan, forming an L-shape overall. They are two storeys high with an attic, presenting a four-window range with varying sizes of casements; the two windows on the first floor of No. 14 are horizontal-sliding sashes with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century glazed door to the left of the centre. Brick stacks are located at the ridge and end of the buildings. The datestone is found in the right gable. The rear wing of No. 15 also dates from the mid-18th century. Inside No. 15, there are some ceiling beams and a butt purlin roof structure.
