Description

Red Lion Cottage is a house dating from 1695. It is constructed of cob, regularly coursed lias, and brick, with a corrugated roof covering. The cottage has a 2-unit plan, is 2 storeys high, and features a 2-window range with 19th and 20th century casements that have wood lintels, along with a central 20th century door. There are brick stacks at both ends, and the datestone is located in the right gable. The rear of the cottage has casements with leaded lights and original glass. Inside, you will find chamfered beams, a butt purlin roof structure, and a dogleg stair.
