Description
The Old House is a house dating from 1691, with 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of squared and coursed lias stone and has a slate roof. The building has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high with an attic, featuring a three-window range. The central entrance is adorned with a 19th-century wrought iron porch that has a lead roof, leading to a 20th-century door. The windows are three-light casements with glazing bars, and the ground floor windows have wooden lintels. The first floor is rendered. The house has a gabled roof with ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, along with three small 20th-century roof dormers that have casements. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building, and a datestone is located on the left gable. Inside, there is a dogleg stair and timber-framed cross walls at the attic level, along with a butt purlin roof.
