Description
This barn, located approximately 35 meters northwest of Westhill House, dates from the 16th or 17th century. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and has an old tile roof. The barn is one storey high with a loft and consists of seven bays, which are divided by buttresses. There is a cart entrance in the third bay from the right, featuring a wooden lintel. The ground floor and loft in the third bay from the left have 2-light casement windows, also with wooden lintels. A doorway with a wooden lintel is situated in the second bay from the left, and stone steps lead to the loft entrance in the left bay. The barn has coped gable ends with kneelers. Inside, the Queen strut roof retains some original timbers.
