Description
The Red Lion Inn Public House is an early 18th-century building that was originally a house. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a slate roof with flanking brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central doorway has a wooden lintel and a plank door. On either side of the entrance, there are two-light casement windows with wooden lintels. The first floor has three-light windows with wooden lintels and old iron casements in the outer bays, and a similar two-light window is located above the entrance. The gable ends are coped and have kneelers. There is a right extension from the 18th century, built with similar materials, which is one bay wide and one storey tall, featuring a stack to the right and a two-light casement window with a wooden lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
