Description

The stable and hayloft at Home Farm is an 18th-century building constructed from coursed squared ironstone and topped with a corrugated iron roof. It has an L-shaped plan. The section between the pond and the yard features stable doors on the left and right sides facing the yard, both with timber lintels. To the left of the right door, there is a window with a timber lintel, and above the stable, a 2-light casement window serves the hayloft. The return wing includes a stable door and a window to the right, both with timber lintels, along with another 2-light window for the hayloft. The main range and the return wing each have stone-coped gables with kneelers. Inside, the building has a tie beam collar truss roof. This structure is included for its group value.
