Description
Manor House is a house dated 1666, located on the south side of Whilton Main Street. It is built of coursed squared ironstone and has a tile roof that replaces the original thatch, with stone stacks at each end. The house has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high with an attic, featuring a two-window range. There is a small central rectangular window with a moulded stone surround, and to the right and left are 20th-century two-light casement windows with timber lintels. The first floor has two-light leaded ovolo stone mullion windows with hood moulds. The building has quoins and a gable that is coped with concrete slabs on the left, complete with kneelers. A datestone on the rear above a 20th-century central porch is inscribed with RM/AN DO 1666. There is also a two-storey extension under construction to the right.
