Description

Bridge number 63 on the Grand Union Canal in Cosgrove is an accommodation bridge built between 1793 and 1800, with later alterations. It follows the standard design of the Grand Junction Canal Company, likely created by William Jessop. The bridge is constructed of brick and features a single elliptical arch, a band, and a slightly cambered solid parapet with solid piers. The parapets are topped with saddleback brick copings, and the arch is protected by two iron rope fenders.
