Description

The war memorial located at the junction of Swinnertons Lane and High Street is an early 20th-century structure made of limestone ashlar. It features an octagonal shaft that stands on a square plinth, which is supported by a base of three octagonal steps. The capital of the memorial is gabled and adorned with foliated designs, including crocket decoration and figures in mitres. Inscriptions on the plinth honor those who died in the First and Second World Wars.
