SP3250 BANBURY STREET, Kineton 1901-1/14/238 (South side) War memorial on green E of house next to Lewis the Butcher (Butcher not incl)

War memorial. c1920. Ashlar. Square base of 4 steps, the lowest one with rounded nosing, with later inscriptions to dead of World War II; simple plinth has panels with inscriptions to dead of World War I, and ogee-moulded capping forming base of stop-chamfered shaft with egg-and-dart cornice. Head has shield or crest to each face and segmental-arched cornice; ball finial supporting cross. An important feature in the village.
