Description

This is a house located next to Lewis the Butcher in Kineton, dating from the early to mid-18th century with later alterations. The exterior is roughcast with a steeply pitched old tile roof and brick end stacks. The building has two storeys plus an attic and features a four-window range. The entrance, positioned to the left of centre, has an architrave and an overlight with decorative glazing bars, leading to a six-panel door (four panels glazed and two fielded) and a bootscraper. To the right of the entrance is a window with 16-pane fixed glazing, both of which are sheltered by a hipped canopy supported by three timber posts.

The end canted bay windows are adorned with panelled pilasters and entablatures above small-paned glazing. The first floor features narrow windows with sills and pebbledashed key blocks above 6/6 sash windows. Gabled roof dormers have 2-light casements. To the left, there is a 19th-century single-storey brick wing with a slate roof, which includes a garage door with a gabled pitching hole above and a small segmental-headed window to the right, as well as a shop window and segmental-headed entrance at the right end.

The entrance canopy is flanked by iron area railings with decorative heads. The interior has not been inspected.
