Description

Hall House and George Lees Butcher is a mid to later 19th century, two-storey, four-bay building located on High Street in Town Yetholm. The structure features a rendered exterior with painted stone dressings, including a base, dividing band, cill, and eaves courses, as well as long and short quoins.

The north elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a tripartite shopfront with a doorway flanked by shop windows on the right side. This section includes dividing pilasters, a glazed door with a three-light fanlight, and two single windows on the first floor above. There is also a tripartite doorway in the second bay, which has a modern panelled door and a two-light fanlight, along with a single window above on the first floor. The first bay features single windows.

On the west elevation, there are single windows in the bay of the rear projection to the outer right, while the left side has a blank gable.

The building has small-pane sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, and brick gablehead stacks on the east and west sides. Additionally, there is a timber garage located at the rear.
