Description

The war memorial located on Nottingham Road in Burton Joyce was constructed around 1920. It is made of limestone ashlar and designed in the Baroque Revival style. The memorial features a square plinth consisting of two steps, with a moulded square base that has an inscribed panel on each side. Above this is a bulged square column with a deep plinth and a corniced capital, topped with a small cross.
