Description

This headstone, dating from the late 17th century, is made of limestone and is located approximately 14 meters south of the south doorway of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul on Chacombe Church Lane. The headstone features a square inscription plaque that is framed by decorative swags of fruit and topped with a skull and scrolls. The inscription is fragmentary, reading: ".... ye 12 day of April .... 1674".
