Description
The Old Fox is a public house that has been converted into a house, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed lias stone and features a plain tiled roof added in the 20th century. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a panelled door set beneath a wooden lintel. The windows are casements with glazing bars, also under wooden lintels, and those on the first floor retain remnants of moulded stone surrounds. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace with a bressumer and ceiling beams.
