Description
No. 21 High Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century and mid-19th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. The original layout was a two-unit lobby-entry plan. The house has two storeys and a two-window range of casements with wooden fascias above. A central panelled double door is flanked by a 20th-century glazed porch. The gable ends have ashlar parapets, and there are brick and ashlar stacks at the ridge and ends. To the right, there is a mid-19th-century single-unit, two-storey extension with a slate roof, along with a 19th-century extension at the rear. Inside, the room to the right of the entrance includes an open fireplace with a bressumer and stop-chamfered spine beams.
