Description
This is an early to mid-18th century house on High Street, Islip. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a pantile roof. Originally designed with a three-unit plan, the house is a single storey with an attic. There are four casement windows on the ground floor, each with glazing bars and set under wooden lintels. Similar windows, also with glazing bars and lintels, are found in the attic, which is lit by Lincolnshire eaves dormers. A vertically panelled door, also under a wooden lintel, is located on the right-hand side of the front elevation. Brick stacks are situated at the ridge of the roof. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to contain ceiling beams.
