Description

The Manor House is a manor house dating from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a 20th-century plain tile roof and has a T-shaped plan. The two-story main front has an attic and a three-window range. The left side features two casement windows with wooden lintels. The right side contains 17th-century five-light stone mullioned, canted bay windows on both the ground and first floors. A central stone porch with a 20th-century door has shafts at the corners and is partly built over a 17th-century two-light stone mullion window. A central roof dormer is present. A central ashlar stack features a moulded cornice. A single-unit 19th-century extension, remodelled in the 20th century, is attached to the left. An elevation to the road has a gable on the left and a central 19th-century lean-to porch. A 19th-century single-story extension to the right incorporates a three-light stone mullion and transomed window. The interior has not been inspected. Originally, the house was the Drayton Manor house.
