Description
This is a range of barn and outbuildings located approximately 10 meters west of Dovecote Farmhouse, dated 1794 but consisting of several different builds. The outbuildings are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, while the barn is made of brick and features pantile roofs. The barn on the left has cogged eaves and a central entrance that is now blocked, flanked by brick pilaster buttresses and with steps leading to a first-floor door on the right. To the south, there is a low gabled wing made of coursed limestone rubble. The outbuildings to the right include an ironstone band, two segmental-headed plain board stable doors with overlights, and an irregular arrangement of casement openings, along with a stable door and a garage door that have wooden lintels. There is a 20th-century brick-dressed garage opening with a metal girder lintel. A datestone and a blank panel with three holes, possibly a former sundial, are also present. The interiors have not been inspected. This structure is included for its group value.
