Description

Manor House, Manor Cottage, and the attached implement shed are a cottage range that has been converted into two dwellings, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with later additions and alterations. The buildings are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature thatched and pantile roofs, coped gables, a brick ridge stack, and a left end stack made of brick on a stone base. They are one storey high with an attic.

On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a blocked doorway, a three-light casement window, two two-light casement windows, a 20th-century door, and another three-light casement window, all with wooden lintels. The attic includes four two-light dormers and a later single-light eyebrow dormer. The right gable end features a sundial and two-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors. A wing at the rear has a panelled door with an overlight set in a moulded wooden surround with a hood. There is a canted bay window to the right and two two-light casement windows on the first floor, along with an additional lower wing at the rear.

To the left, there is a later wing made of limestone rubble and brick with a pantile roof, which contains 19th and 20th-century doors and casement windows, as well as two flat-roofed two-light dormers. Beyond this is a thatched limestone-built L-plan implement shed, which is currently derelict. Inside, the hall features an inglenook fireplace, a two-panel door, a plain board door, and a panelled wall cupboard that may date from the 18th century.
