Description

This is a dovecote located approximately 15 meters west of Dovecote House, dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The dovecote has a circular plan and includes a small plank door set beneath a wooden lintel. There is a string course at the midpoint of the structure, and it is topped with a conical roof that has a wooden glover at the apex. Inside, the dovecote contains 500 nesting boxes and a revolving access ladder.
