Description
Nos. 1 and 3 Church Way, along with No. 21 Main Road, are three houses built in the mid and late 18th century. They are constructed from regular coursed limestone and feature early and late 19th-century pantile roofs. Each house originally had a two-unit plan, and together they form an L-shaped range. The buildings are two storeys high.
The elevation facing Church Way has a four-window arrangement of casement windows with glazing bars, some of which include leaded lights, all set beneath wooden lintels. The window on the first floor at the far right retains its original glass. There are gable parapets to the right and between Nos. 1 and 3, and brick stacks are located at the ridge and ends. The left elevation mirrors this with a two-window range, featuring a central part-glazed door for No. 21. Nos. 1 and 2 have 20th-century doors at the rear. The interiors have not been inspected but are noted to have ceiling beams.
