Description
Stone Pit Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century and altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The original design was a three-unit plan, and the building stands two storeys tall with an attic. The façade has a three-window range of casements with glazing bars, all set under gauged stone heads. There are mid-19th century wooden bay windows at both the far left and right sides. To the left of the centre, there is a 19th-century part-glazed door, also under a gauged stone head, and a 20th-century porch has been added. The roof includes three dormers, and the gables have ashlar parapets with remnants of ashlar stacks at the ridge and ends. A 19th-century extension is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have ceiling beams and an open fireplace.
