Description

RUSHTON SP8482 No.9 1337-0/13/175 Manor Farmhouse and attached garden 25/10/51 wall (Formerly Listed as: Manor Farmhouse) GV II Farmhouse and wall. C17, of 2 builds. Squared coursed ironstone with Collyweston stone slate roofs, coped gables and end stacks: brick shafts on stone bases. Main block and lower cross wing to left. 2 storeys and attic, 4-window range. Garden front of main block has central doorway in C19 4- centred arch. 2 4-light and 2 2-light ovolo-moulded stone mullioned windows to ground floor, the 2-light windows nearest the doorway. First floor has 4 3-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned windows. Iron-framed gudgeon-hung casements. 2 2-light hipped dormers with small-paned casements. Cross wing to left slightly lower, now partly garage, has similar detail. One-storey addition to right. C19 addition to rear of brick and ironstone has plain door in wooden architrave. Tall wall of coursed ironstone rubble with a scattering of limestone. Interior not inspected.
