Description

Cockayne Bridge is a former road bridge, originally dated to 1641, though the datestone and associated Cockayne arms have been removed to Beech House. The bridge is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features two round-headed arches, a string course, and remnants of a parapet with shaped coping. The cutwaters are much decayed. The road was moved to the east in 1829.
