Description
Fuchsia Cottage, also known as No.26, and Tanglewood, or No.24, are two houses dating from the early 18th century. They are constructed from regularly coursed limestone and feature a thatched roof. Originally, each house had a two-unit plan and is single storey with an attic. The front has a five-window range of casements with glazing bars set beneath wooden lintels, along with a tripartite sash window to the right of the center. There are two eyebrow dormers on the right side and a gabled half dormer on the left. No.24 has a 20th-century door located to the right under a wooden lintel, while brick and stone stacks are positioned at the ridge and ends. There is evidence of two separate builds between the houses. No.26 includes a 20th-century porch at the rear. Although the interiors were not inspected, they are noted to have ceiling beams.
