Description
This is a wash-house built between 1900 and 1901 by William Huckvale for Charles Rothschild, located at the rear of Numbers 26, 27, and 28 in Ashton Green. It is constructed from coursed rubblestone and features a pyramidal thatch roof with a stone stack that has a moulded ashlar flue. The building has a rectangular plan and is a single storey, with plank doors that face the rear of the cottages. This wash-house is part of the significant group of model estate buildings in Ashton created by Charles Rothschild.
