Description
The stable and garage range located to the south of The Chequered Skipper Public House was built between 1900 and 1901 by William Huckvale for Charles Rothschild. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and features a thatched roof. The building is single storey and includes two pairs of garage doors on the right side, a loft door at the right end, and stable doors along with boarded windows at the rear. This structure is part of a significant group of model estate buildings in Ashton, which were developed by Charles Rothschild.
