Description

This is a 17th-century house located on the south side of Market Place. The building is constructed from dressed rubble and features a steep stone slate roof with two hipped dormers. It comprises two shallow, two-storey canted bays. The right-hand bay has sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor, while the left-hand bay has modern glazing. A passage entry to the rear is constructed from brick and timber, and is two storeys high with small coursed stone. Number 20 is a continuation of the building and has one hipped dormer; it features two windows with wooden lintels, one located above a yard entrance. Modern shop windows are present. The listed buildings in Market Place are considered to contribute to a group value.
