Description
Bramston House East Wing is a tall, 18th century house with three storeys, faced in ashlar stone. It features a plinth, end pilasters with an entablature, a heavy cornice with dentils, and a high balustrade, although the roof is not visible. There are bands separating the storeys and five windows, with a central entrance. The windows are hung sashes set in wide wooden cases, with plain stone architraves that include keystones. The high entrance has a moulded architrave with a keystone, deep reveals, and is approached by three stone steps. The door has incised panels and a fanlight above. The garden front is particularly attractive. All the listed buildings in Market Place form a group.
