Description
Branston House West Wing, located at No 26 on the south side of Market Place, is an early 18th-century building that continues the roof line of Nos 22 and 24, featuring verges above the gables. The structure has four windows on the first floor and two gabled dormers beneath a stone slate roof. It displays a painted moulded stucco eaves cornice and is painted on stone. The windows are hung sashes set in nearly flush wooden cases, with stone lintels that have reeded keystones. The first-floor windows are adorned with moulded cills and aprons that connect to the platband. The ground floor features a plinth with moulded coping, and only the first-floor windows have glazing bars. All the listed buildings in Market Place form a group.
