Description
Nos. 9-13 on Quainton Road is a row of three cottages that were originally built as a single house in the 17th century. The structure features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and whitewashed rubble stone on the right gable. It has a half-hipped roof covered with corrugated iron over thatch, and brick chimneys are located on the gables and between the left-hand bays. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are 19th-century wooden casements, with paired windows in the ground floor left-hand bays and first floor, and a three-light window in the ground floor right. There are also two additional single lights between the left bays. The property has three doors and lean-to extensions at the rear. Inside, the cottages feature stop-chamfered spine beams and a winder staircase aligned with the fireplace.
