Description
Brewers' Yard and the gate piers adjacent to the south end of Wotton House is a house that was formerly the laundry for Wotton House. It dates from the early 18th century and has been altered. The building is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof with a brick band course across the east gable. It is one storey and has an attic with four bays. The left bays contain 20th-century wooden cross casements with original segmental heads. The third bay has been altered and now features a 20th-century door with paired casements above in a small gable. The right bay has a 20th-century flat-roofed extension that projects along the former wall of the yard. The east gable has brick coping and a blocked window with a segmental head. The gate piers have moulded stone bases and cornices, carved stone urn finials, and carved stone scrolls on the walls and side pilasters.
