Description

No. 12 Church Street is a house with an attached shop, dating from the 17th century and altered over time. The right bay features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, which is exposed at the front and gable. The left bay and rear are constructed of whitewashed brick and render. The building has a tiled roof and a thin brick chimney located near the left end. It is one storey high with an attic and consists of 2 ½ bays. The main bays on the right have paired 20th-century metal casements on the ground floor and 20th-century wooden casements in the dormers at the eaves line. There is a central 20th-century door, and a 20th-century shop is attached to the front of the left bay. The half bay on the left has a 20th-century gabled extension made of whitewashed render with half-timbering. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension attached to the right.
