Description
No. 2 Church Street is a house and office built in the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations. The building is constructed of vitreous header brick with red brick dressings, featuring quoins, altered window surrounds, a moulded plinth, a gauged first floor band course, and dentil eaves. The left side of the building is made of chequer brick. It has a hipped old tile roof and a brick chimney on the left side. The structure is two storeys high with two bays. The ground floor includes a large shop window, while the first floor has two 20th-century tilting windows. There is a door to the right in an altered opening, with the original gauged segmental head still visible above it. Inside, there are spiral stone steps leading down to the cellar.
